Kodak Ektar developed in Kale.
During my MA, I decided to explore alternative film processing. I experimented with different types of plants and simple developers. The above images are some of my most successful. The film I used was Kodak Ektar, which is quite a high contrast and bold colour film.
I shot the roll, not really knowing what to expect or how it would react to being developed as a Black and white roll instead of C-41 or even with a plant-based developer.
I followed the developing times and temperatures as I would for C-41, but in a Kale developer I made and fixed with Iflord fix. I could not have asked for better results for my first attempt with this developer. I have tried other rolls and plant based devleopers. So far, the best results have been with Kodak Ektar in either kale or dianion developer.
